Career Change

Yes it is possible to find a career with plenty of fulfillment, freedom and financial prosperity.  The quickest way is to work with the right career transition coach for you.  I’m dedicated to above all, inspiring, encouraging and  supporting your unique career path.  Together we’ll identify and secure a career that has you bouncing out of bed in eagerness to face the work day.

Career transition coaching has been described as occupational coaching, vocational coaching, right livelihood coaching, true calling coaching, finding work that you love and opportunity coaching.  Regardless of what we call it, I want you to know that work does not need to feel like an obligation.  In the right work, you will gain energy rather than have it depleted.

I have a bias for coaching folks who want to discover their true calling and build a business inspired by that calling.   Even though I have had success coaching folks to find the right employment, I believe that a career change to self-employment is the surer path to work life freedom.  I specialize in small business startup coaching and find your right career coaching.

My Delightful Work blog is dedicated to increasing the number of folks on the planet who are in pursuit of work life happiness and the enjoyment of work life freedom.  The most direct route to freedom is self-employment.  I specialize in coaching those who want to make the leap to self-employment success.

It’s my pleasure to coach you on how to change careers so that you are paid very well just for being authentically who you are.

“Vocation is where your deep gladness meets the world’s deep need.”
—Frederich Buechner

There exists for all a special work for you that will fit this great need and not feel like work.

“To have a firm persuasion in our work – to feel that what we do is right for ourselves and good for the world at the exact same time – is one of the great triumphs of human existence. Our work is to make ourselves visible in the world. This is the soul’s individual journey, and the soul would much rather fail at its own life than succeed at someone else’s.”
—David Whyte, from his book, Crossing the Unknown Sea

Are you ready to answer your own calling?

Are you ready to live the work life you’re meant to live?

Are you ready to awaken fresh each day with renewed vigor, joy and passion?

Are you ready to grace the world with your deep gladness?

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, then I’m ready to guide you there.

Somewhere within you is your perfect life’s work. This calling is waiting to emerge and carry you to the natural glory you deserve. My special brand of right livelihood coaching will allow this wonder within you to come forth.

The process for understanding and accepting the work that you’re uniquely made to do needn’t be mysterious, perplexing, or even difficult. Clients find it reassuring to know that there’s a process of creation, discovery and attraction that works well when performed authentically. It’s a matter of making all the essential puzzle pieces fit together for optimum personal joy and gratification. Here’s what we’ll work on together:

Nine essential elements of a successful career change:

  1. Honor your Core Self (inner voice) to bring forth the glory of your soul so that others can feel it and support it.
  2. Identify, clarify, verify, fortify and gloriously express your natural Strengths.
  3. Energize your Heart’s Desires.
  4. Flaunt your natural personality Traits (“bad ass self”) and feel good about it.
  5. Orient your life around your Values.
  6. Connect to a deliberate Vision that works for you.
  7. Commit to your nonnegotiable Requirements.
  8. Move through Fears and blocks that are holding you back.
  9. Discover and create Environments to thrive within.

Our work will focus on identifying, verifying and fortifying your understanding of each of these nine elements, and how they form the self-portrait that is your life.  Every coaching client acts on the same nine pieces, but their elemental makeup is unique for each of us.  So, I coach you as a career change client from my authenticity to yours.  I help you to see it and do it your way.

What I want you to know about my approach to career change coaching:

  • I live to encourage. The right encouragement at the right time will bring you new found vitality, a clearer sense of purpose and deep fulfillment.
  • Originality inspires me. I help clients see that their life’s work may very well take shape in a totally original way that has never existed. This often happens when individuals honor their unique inner gifts.
  • We will reach beyond perceived limitations. My coaching takes clients beyond self-imposed barriers to points of personal revelation, exhilaration and intentional action.
  • My approach nurtures the “whole you.” I am proficient coaching within all four realms of your power: physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual. I’ll guide you to your greatest opportunities for growth, accomplishment and self-acceptance.
  • Your joy is my joy. Above all, I’ll help you be true to yourself at the deepest level, so your natural strengths become your advantages. With this edge, your life will be more of a joyful glide. Happiness and fulfillment will take their rightful, natural place in your life.
  • I view our work together as sacred. For this reason, I utilize ceremony, personal exercises and core questioning designed to illuminate options with deep meaning to you. I will walk the brave path with you.

Some things I know for sure about the search for right livelihood:

  • Most folks look for validation in the wrong places. They hope to happen upon their ideal work. It doesn’t work that way!
  • Finding your true calling is more than just choosing a career or occupation.  It’s about self-discovery – understanding and embracing your talents and desires.
  • The search for vocation isn’t like suit or shoe shopping, where you try on different careers that seem appealing and hope for the right fit. Most people I know have neither time nor energy to approach their work life in this way.
  • Educational institutions compound this problem by promising certifications and skills that are often useless to you in the long run. What the seeker needs first is clarity. This process cannot be done haphazardly or blindly. It’s best gone about honestly and thoroughly.
  • A sense of sureness about right livelihood comes from knowing not just what you want to do for a living, but how natural it feels to you while doing it.

I want you to experience the confident boldness of knowing – without hesitation – that you are in the midst of living the full and glorious life you came here to live. The question is: do you want this badly enough to make it happen for yourself?

Is that a yes? Then call 724-823-0317 or email me to discuss how right livelihood coaching can lead you to your true vocation.
