Frequently Asked Questions about Life Coaching

I’ve been coaching since 1998 and I really want to know what questions are at the top of your mind regarding coaching.

If you don't see your question answered here, please don't hesitate to email me or call 412-655-0872 today with your biggest challenge.

What don’t my clients usually know?
How amazingly well accountability will work for them. Most folks have never experienced a coach who will be both firm and encouraging to hold you to what you say matters the most.

What else are they unaware of?
Most of us can’t see our own blind spots. We know something isn’t quite right but we can’t put our finger on it. The caring perspective of a highly intuitive professional coach can be invaluable for stimulating clarity and realizing big "Aha!" connections.

As my coach, what do you actually do?

  • Help you move forward on whatever you now care about the most.

  • Support you as you honor your core self and authentic desires.

  • Help you set clearer goals, and then reach those goals.

  • Ask you to do more than you might have done on your own.

  • Help you to focus better in order to produce results more quickly.

  • Provide you with tools, support and structure to accomplish more.

  • Work with you to help you make discoveries and changes.

  • Ask lots of questions to help you clarify what it is you really want.

  • Encourage you to stretch, support you when it gets tough, and ask you to take specific actions.

What usually happens a result of working with you?

  • You sort things out and simplify your life.

  • You take yourself and your needs more seriously.

  • You take more effective and more focused actions immediately.

  • You stop putting up with what is dragging you down.

  • You create momentum so that it’s easier to get results.

  • You set goals that more exactly match what YOU want.

  • You feel more alive and right with life.

  • You approach life more naturally leading with your strengths.

Why did you become a coach?
Because being a coach is core to who I am. My core values are: to inspire and be inspired, to encourage, to energize, and to be deeply authentic. These values translate into core strengths that are essential in coaching my clients. My strengths are: an ability to connect deeply, the capacity to hold a safe space as a foundation for your growth and a mastery of energy, feelings and forthrightness.

What's your specialty?
I work best with clients who are passionate about shifting to more fulfilling and joyful living. They're ready to be more of who they are and to bring forth their inner wisdom. They intuitively know that life could come easier and could be richer and they're ready to make it so. They are curious about life and what makes them tick as humans. And they are ready to come alive and to start living with less stress and more vigor.

What does your coaching process look like?

  1. In each session, we work on what matters most to you.

  2. In between calls, you complete what together we agree to.

  3. I coach by phone 3 times a month for 30-40 minutes each time.

  4. Quick 5-10 minute calls for questions in between sessions are welcome.

  5. We work together for as long as you are totally satisfied with the results.

  6. Our only agenda is to help you to get what you most want out of life.

Why are you effective with your clients?
Because the synergy between us creates momentum. Because better goals are set
 – ones that naturally pull you toward the goals rather than goals that require you to push hard to the goal. Because I care enough about you to always say what I feel needs to be said. In a tight spot you may not be able to see all of your blind spots. Blind spots are the automatic reactions we take that no longer serve us well. I have a knack for sensing them – so you can see the toxic effect they're having on you. We then clean these up. By knowing you well, I can point out when you are being less than your authentic self. The resulting savings in lost energy and time are considerable because you stop short of making decisions that don't serve you well.

What is your background?
I've been coaching full time and officially since 1998. I coached in an unofficial capacity as a sales manager for 16 years. Through my firm, CoreU, I also work as a meeting facilitator, inspirational speaker and vision consultant. I created the completion process Stretch Dynamics.

What is your coaching style?
I have a bias for results that holds my clients accountable for their actions. I work best with clients who are willing to deal with all of life as it comes. We'll go deep together to bring out your truth, but still be able to laugh about it. I'm supportive, encouraging and firm.
